Cameron,
You mean the world to me. Words are wind; they can move us, make us feel the sense of touch without another body around, and they constantly shift and change. We are wind, together, forever changing, moving, meeting up again and again as new people who are still interested in being together. Our journey is far from over, and I love it.

With Weepy-Happy Words,
Your Wife,
Alyssa

Tattoos are not for everyone, but every single one I've gotten I've loved. My first one was an avocado (which I made a gif of seen at the bottom of my portfolio page). My second tattoo was inspired by woodcut art, and how beautiful rose tattoos are to me. Now I always have a flower in bloom on me at all times.

The artist was Mathias from Pride & Glory Tattoo Studio in Annapolis, MD (my roommate's uncle has been tattooing for over ten years, and his skills show in this work of art.

If you're interested in getting a tattoo use the internet's wide resources and research research research (and join Pinterest).

That's all for now,
Alyssa

Photography

Once a week I plan to write about planning my wedding all alone (well, Cameron helps, but no official wedding planner here) and just dive into the topic of the day: photography.

Networking is huge in photography, and we almost benefitted from it when Cameron's mother knew a professional wedding photographer who would help us out giving us a discount rate (granted, the rate was way above our personal photography budget, but after researching all over I realize her deal would be a steal with her experience!)

The thing is, I love a good deal, and can't see spending that much on photography when in the end all I'll care about are some shots of the ceremony, a few around the venue, and our first dance. To be perfectly honest I could care less for anything else. But to get those professionally done is outrageously expensive, and risking a newbie doing it tears at my heart strings (I've already cut a wedding planner from the budget, no need to cut everything!)

I love photography and can appreciate a great eye. I want to pay them what they are worth, but my hand freezes and can't reach the wallet. Therefore I know I need to go another route, but what? Right now finding the corners of the internet where some people are reasonable and start at least under 1K for their pricing is the only thing I'm doing, but unless I find someone soon everyone will be booked and no photos for Alyssa. No, of course there will be photos, I'm just rambling now. Needed to vent.

Next week I'll talk about all the stuff that has been close to completed (we are halfway there when it comes to our plans!) but that victory seems like nothing when the big beast of photography still hasn't been tamed. Rawr.

Until next time,
Alyssa
