I have a lot I want to write about my wedding experience, but am not sure where to start. Your interests will help me order which wedding things I review, bring up, and have fun with. This poll will close in one week.

Cameron,
You mean the world to me. Words are wind; they can move us, make us feel the sense of touch without another body around, and they constantly shift and change. We are wind, together, forever changing, moving, meeting up again and again as new people who are still interested in being together. Our journey is far from over, and I love it.

With Weepy-Happy Words,
Your Wife,
Alyssa

Frugal Friday – Leftovers for Life

4/29/2016

I don't know about you but not having to cook at least one of my meals a day is a huge life saver. Having all of the leftover wedding food (even after splitting up the leftovers) I had that secured meal for four days in a row! Sure, variety is needed in your diet, but I say as long as you're only eating the same thing once a day and not for all three meals (or snack if that's your game - I wished I was a grazer).

Crock-pot meals are the easiest way to deliver a lot of quantity and quality at once when you don't have the space for a spare fridge of leftovers or what have you. My favorite crock pot meal is lemon garlic chicken and is super simple to do.

I sear the chicken on the stovetop at medium heat until each side has golden brown skin (but it isn't cooked all the way through). I mix in lemon juice, garlic, salt and pepper and let the chicken do its thing. Then I transfer it to the crock pot, and let it cook for 3 hours on high or 6 on low (or until the meat melts when you touch it with a fork and becomes like pulled pork, but chicken.) Doing something like this once a week is vital to hold off the desire to eat out, because I'm the type who would rather get more mileage out of a meal I already made then throw out the extra uneaten portions. What's your favorite meal as leftover (besides Chinese takeout).
