Yup, you heard it right – I have set out a goal to do no excess spending for the month of November. What does that really mean? It means only buying the necessities (paying bills, gas, and groceries) which means I'll have money for emergencies. Anything beyond that is unacceptable. Now, this may seem like a terrible month to do it; it's the time to buy all those Christmas gifts! And my birthday is in November, but that is perfectly fine. My goal for Christmas gifts is to stick with edible items, not "stuff" that fills up space and is rarely used.
