The timeframe of work going into this wedding feels like the blood sugar levels of someone on Thanksgiving; they are steady until the meal, then shoot up and come crashing back down. The marathon of finding the trifecta (venue, catering and photographer) is now at a screeching half. Contacts are signed, timeframes are in place for payments, but that's it. Nothing else is needed until the wedding day. Going from researching nonstop to fiddling my thumbs is a weird scenario – how do people with 1 year or longer engagements wait?
It's looking like the month of February is where all the pieces come together and the ball starts rolling again. Invitations are sent out, applications for the ceremony submitted, fittings for the bride and maid of honor are done, and a few other pieces that cannot fall to the wayside.
There's only so much pre-preparation to do until you feel you've exhausted yourself to the point of just waiting. Don't get me wrong I'm happy the big three things are settled and taken care of, it's just the commotion to get them completed is gone now.
